About ECR Ireland
ECR Ireland is committed to the implementation of ECR by Irish companies. It encourages long-term co-operation between trading partners throughout the food and grocery supply chain to provide education & guidance on key issues. All ECR initiatives operate under a system of co-chairs (one retailer and one supplier). It is a not for profit organisation.

ECR Ireland has five Workgroups

Supply Chain & Corporate Services Director, Dunnes Stores
John Casey joined Dunnes Stores in 2011. He was previously with Allied Foods who he joined in 1997 from Fyffes plc.
As Allied Group Managing Director since 2004 and Director and Divisional MD from 1998, John led the development and implementation of strategy for the business over the past decade. During the period the business evolved from its origins as a frozen food wholesaler to become one of the key temperature controlled supply chain partners to the leading Irish retailers, food service operators and international manufacturers operating in the Irish Market.
John previously held a number of senior management positions in the UK, where he managed businesses in sales, marketing and procurement for Fyffes plc.

Country Manager, P&G Ireland
David grew up in Cork, Ireland, graduating from UCC in 1993. In 1995, he began his career at Procter & Gamble working on the iconic Fairy Liquid brand. In 1997 he joined Diageo Dublin in a New Business Development role, launching Draught Guinness in a bottle for Guinness lovers everywhere and launching the Carlsberg glass still in use today. David re-joined P&G in 2000 helping establish the first Sales team based in Dublin.
This was followed by five years in Geneva on the Pringles Global Franchise leading the Global New Product Development group. Across this period, Pringles innovation pipeline grew from just two to over twenty initiatives per annum, sales increased +50% and Pringles joined P&G’s exclusive Billion Dollar Brand group. He spent a further two years in Geneva as the Petcare EMEA Commercial Director before returning as Customer Business Development Director P&G Ireland in October 2009.
In 2011, David was appointed Country Manager for P&G in Ireland. He is responsible for the company’s total commercial and marketing operations in Ireland across the full portfolio of P&G brands.

General Manager ECR Ireland and Director - Consumer Packaged Goods Sector, GS1 Ireland
Declan joined ECR Ireland in December 2005. Previously, Declan was Supply Chain Manager for Superquinn where he set-up the company's central distribution system. This involved designing Superquinn's supply chain strategy and developing the associated supply chain systems which improved overall company product availability and reduced replenishment costs. Central to the strategy was the design & construction of a Distribution Centre, setting-up a Supply Chain Dept. and the introduction of perpetual inventory, automatic forecasting & EDI into the company with responsibility for all product availability & supply chain operations.
GS1 is dedicated to the design and implementation of global standards and solutions to improve the efficiency and visibility of supply and demand chains globally and across sectors. The GS1 system of standards is the most widely used supply chain standards system in the world.
Declan holds a BSC(Mgmt) from Trinity College, Dublin and an MBA in Retailing & Wholesaling from Stirling University, Scotland.

About ECR Europe
ECR EUROPE: ORGANISATION AND PRINCIPLES
ECR Europe is a joint trade and industry body, launched in 1994 to make the grocery sector as a whole more responsive to consumer demand and promote the removal of unnecessary costs from the supply chain.
With its headquarters in Brussels, the organisation works in close co-operation with national ECR initiatives in most European countries. Participation in projects at European and national levels is open to large and small companies in the grocery and fast moving consumer goods sectors - including retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers, suppliers, brokers and third-party service providers such as logistics operators.

Activities
Every year ECR Europe organizes projects where companies from all over Europe explore new areas of working together to fulfil consumer wishes better faster and at less costs or deepen existing experiences. The results of these projects are published for a wide audience through our publications and our annual ECR Europe conference which attracts thousands of (top) managers from all over the world.
